Iron Dwarves

Iron Dwarves are not nearly as common as their Stone-Born bretheren, and are only very rarely found outside of their ancestral homeland of Utand, where they have lived in the mountains for centuries. Dwarven scholars believe that the Iron Dwarves were once connected to the kingdom of the Stone Dwarves across the sea, but were left isolated when the Dragon Wars brought ruin to them. In the centuries since then, the Iron Dwarves have developped a differing culture, living in deep halls underground in contrast to the usually surface-dwelling Stone Dwarves. They are excellent craftsmen of metal, and their presence in Utand (specifically Altlan Hold) is one of the reasons that weapons and armor of Altlan Steel are so highly demanded throughout Arcur.

Appearance
Iron Dwarves are fairer than their kin, with lighter skin tone and golden to reddish hair. They are the same height, but are usually not as stocky – favoring a leaner build than their cousins.
