1577 BU - First contact between the kingdoms of Castresanos and the Lethray Ecclesiarchy, then the only country in Sendaiya. Diplomatic ties between the two continents established.
1542 BU - First contact between Lethray and Orur.
1433 BU - The Speaker (Supreme Praetor of the Lethray Ecclesiarchy) acts on a vision and sends a small force of paladins into Rimewind Heath.
1432 BU - Of the twelve paladins sent, only one returns alive bearing news of a fortress of black ice deep in the frozen wastes that houses a powerful evil. Lethray army mobilizes.
1430 BU - Lethray army crosses the Whitefell Mountains into Rimewind Heath. They are met by hundreds of devils sent from Hellrime Keep. Beginning of the Frigid Crusade.
1367 BU - After decades of fighting, the Frigid Crusade reaches the walls of Hellrime Keep. Lethray forces construct entrenchments around the fortress. Siege weapons have no effect on the walls, and the Crusade proves unable to breach the gates.
1366 BU - The Speaker arrives in person at Hellrime Keep. He blasts through the infernal wards, but cannot bring any forces with him. He enters the fortress alone, emerging 6 hours later seemingly unharmed, bringing down the wards of the fortress. The courtyard is filled with the remains of hundreds of slain devils. The keep itself is sealed, the battlements etched with holy sigils. The Speaker has never revealed details of the events that took place within the dark halls of Hellrime Keep. Frigid Crusade ends.
1235 BU - Dalrakain, a Baron of one of the eastern kingdoms of Castresanos, seizes control of the eastern half of the continent through military might. He is revealed to be a vampire. Baron Dalrakain holds the land for several centuries, ruling from his castle near Blackheart Summit.
982 BU - Baron Dalrakain launches an invasion of Orur.
899 BU - After a series of back and forth pushes accross the Orur border and in the Sanguine Sea, Orur forms an alliance with Lethray. Lethray Paladins engage Dalrakain directly, and barely manage to overpower and defeat him at the cost of their own lives.
798 BU - Raxaal Ma’ro comes to power in Orur, naming herself the Blood Queen.
796 BU - The Blood Queen claims total dominion over Orur and ends its alliance with Lethray.
794 BU - Raxaal launches a major invasion of the kingdoms of Castresanos. However, with her forces abroad a group of warriors overthrow her and bring down her empire. The new queen of Orur re-establishes diplomatic ties with Lethray.
793 BU - Raxaal Ma’ro performs a simultaneous sacrifice of ten thousand innocents in the name of Sycrythax. Orur’s forces attempt to bring her in, but are routed by an army of spectres formed from the slain. The Blood Queen builds the Crimson Hall, and from there continues her campaign of terror and death upon Orur for over a decade.
780 BU - The Crimson Hall breached by Orur’s mightiest warriors. The Blood Queen – believed to have the ability to turn into an extremely powerful ghost upon her death – is bound in unbreakable chains in a prison cell where magic will not flow. The Crimson Guard is formed to be the wardens of her prison to ensure that she never escapes. She still lies there to this day, ageless and powerless but waiting to take revenge.
560 BU - A group of powerful Arcane mages in northern Lethray rebel against the Ecclesiarchy. The First Lethray Civil War begins.
531 BU - Lethray surrenders to the Sepratist forces, ending the First Lethray Civil War. After extensive negotiations, Lethray concedes a large expanse of land to them. Callarea founded.
411 BU - Callarea’s Mage’s college of Tirandis opens its doors to its first students.
241 BU - The Red Dragon Siraknos emerges with scores of dragons at his command out of the Ironrune mountains and attacks the eastern kingdoms of Castresanos. Dragon Wars begin.
217 BU - Eastern kingdoms of Castresanos are either destroyed or retreating – all east of the great pass turn west for refuge.
216 BU - Remaining kingdoms form an alliance against Siraknos and his dragons.
132 BU - After a series of successful campaigns into eastern Castresanos, Siraknos’ dragons burn the lands east of the great pass. Eastern Castresanos becomes known as the Waste. Alliance forces withdraw westward and build the Fortress of Wastewatch Keep.
43 BU - Turius the Great born at Wastewatch Keep.
14 BU – Turius leads an attack on a Dragon nest in the Waste, where he gains recognition as a hero of Castresanos.
2 BU - Turius the Great challenges Siraknos to single combat. Siraknos slain in resulting battle. Siraknos’ generals scatter and are subsequently hunted down.
0 AU - Siraknos’ last general found and slain. Dragon Wars declared ended. Turius the Great unites the kingdoms of Castresanos under a single banner – the Kingdom of Norianir.
87 AU - The warrior clans of northern Sendaiya rebel against the Archmages of Callarea. Inspired by the stories of Turius the Great, the clans unite themselves under the strongest of the clanleaders, Cadogan the Unyielding. The Clan Rebellion begins.
91 AU - Lethray declares open support of the rebellion. In an effort to prevent war between Lethray and Callarea, the High King of Norianir invites the leaders of the three groups to a peace talk at Dragonfell.
92 AU - The Archmage’s council reluctantly agrees to Cadogan’s demands, ceding the territories of the Utand Highlands to the clans.
109 AU - Cadogan the Unyielding slain in single combat by Joddoc the Beast, who seizes control of Utand.
127 AU - Orur ship captains circumnavigate Arcur, landing ships in Utand. Joddoc orders the crews captured and the ships burned.
131 AU - Orur invasion fleet makes landfall in Utand. However, the invasion proves unable to defeat the armies of Joddoc the Beast. This results in a long and bloody conflict, with Orur unable to make any significant headway into conquering Utand, with Utand lacking the naval prowess to launch a counterattack on Orur.
137 AU - Joddoc the Beast bested in single combat by Aelbach of Highgreen. Aelbach opens diplomatic ties with Orur to end the conflict between the two countries. Orur withdraws forces from the Highlands.
199 AU - A group of Callarean Sorcerers, tired of the Wizards’ domination of the country, attempts to seize power from the Archmage’s Circle. The rebellion is quickly defeated, and their names are stricken from any historical records.
200 AU - Archmage Lucas Darkwind of Callarea declares that all arcane spellcasters whose magic is instinctive are enemies of the state. Sorcerers are rapidly hunted down and killed, while warlocks and other instinctive spellcasters are dominated and forced into a lifetime of military service.
272 AU - A great unnatural blizzard descends upon Rimewind Heath, and even the most powerful divination magic cannot see through it. Utand begins construction on Stormwatch at the advice of their allies in Lethray.
273 AU - A joint expedition between Lethray and Utand braves the storm and goes into Rimewind. They are never heard from again.
415 AU - High Prelate Vathain of the Lethray Ecclesiarchy is found guilty of heresy. This marks the beginning of the Second Lethray Civil War.
424 AU - Vathain’s forces capture the Lethray citadel at Vashnian in the Ironwaste desert and declares himself head of the Ecclesiarchy. The Speaker escapes with retinue to Utand and establishes a government-in exile.
431 AU - Vathain’s forces invade Callarea, capturing Eureseos, Dawnshine and Espar. However, they are prevented from crossing north of the river.
435 AU - With the aid of Utand, The Speaker returns to Lethray and retakes Vashnian. Meanwhile, Norianir reinforces Callarea, and together they push Vathain’s forces back across the Lethray border.
437 AU - Norianir, Callarea and the restored Ecclesiarchy under The Speaker form a peace treaty against Vathain’s forces.
451 AU - Vathain’s forces defeated. Second Lethray Civil War ends. Vathain evades capture and disappears.
722 AU - Present day.
